YC-Iso is a purified
solution of iso-alpha acids derived from a pure resin CO2
extract of hops. It gives you precise control of the pure bitter flavor
of the hops in your beer - through post-fermentation bitterness adjustments
- allowing for greater flexibility in your brewing process.
YC-Iso allows for
the reduction of the iso-cohumulone level in beer. Because of its high
utilization of hop alpha acids, it is an economical way to enhance the
clean, crisp bitterness of your beer.
Shipping and storing
are also easier and more economical - one 20 L container of YC-Iso will
hop as much beer as two hop bales or eight boxes (20 Kg per box) of hop
pellets.
The production of
high purity YC-Iso requires high quality hops. At Yakima Chief, great care
is given the hops from seedling on. Pictured is one of our large, state-of-the-art
kiln facilities, where the hops are dried right from the harvest under
strict temperature control, prior to careful ambient cooling (inset photo),
baling, pelleting and extraction. The close proximity of these facilities,
