FT Laboratory Technician Position:

Yakima Chief is a leading hop storage and processing company that is seeking a Full-Time QA/QC Laboratory Technician.  The QA/QC Lab is a FAST PACED environment that provides direct support to the company's Production users and systems.

Duties will include:

  • Chemical Analysis of Product Samples using UV Spectrophotometer and HPLC Equipment.
  • Data Entry and Reporting to Management
  • General Lab Maintenance
  • May be expected to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access knowledge a plus.

Must have a valid Washington State Drivers License

Shift Supervisor Position:

Local hop storage and processing company is seeking a FT Shift Supervisor. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operations of a SuperCritical CO2 Extraction facility. Shift work is required, nights and weekends.

Computer background and/ or instrumentation experience and familiarity are highly recommended. Minimum two years experience, high-school education and a valid WSDL. Wages are D.O.E.

Some of the duties will include:

  • Supervision of shift employees
  • Operation of PLC
  • Data Entry and reporting to management
  • General warehouse housekeeping.

Maintenance Mechanic

Yakima Chief, Inc., a Sunnyside, Washington-based hop distributor, has an immediate opening available for a Maintenance Mechanic with strong mechanical, electrical/instrumentation, and combustion experience.  Additional knowledge on pneumatics, hydraulics, and refrigeration background is a plus.  Primary responsibilities include overall plant maintenance in the supercritical CO2 extraction facility with involvement in the separation, pellet, and pilot operations. 

This applicant will report directly to the Plant Process Engineer with involved interaction with other Department Supervisors and Department Managers.  The position will include upkeep of spare parts inventories, generating and submitting purchase orders, area housekeeping, and will include occasional on-call coverage on the off-shifts and/or weekends. 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of high school diploma or GED degree is required.  College education, trade school equivalent, or military background is desirable.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge and troubleshooting of various crafts (i.e. instrumentation, overhauling equipment, welding, etc.) is desirable.
  • Excellent “hands on” team player, self-starter, and able to work independently as well as a team.
