Developed by John Hennings, a research geneticist at the USDA, Triumph is an aroma hop produced by crossing Nugget with USDA 21110M. With high yields and excellent brewing quality, this public variety was named for its triumph over other experimental hop varieties both in the field and in the glass – as well as Henning’s love of Triumph brand motorcycles.
