An aroma hop with a distinctive fresh, crushed ‘Mojito’ lime character, along with tropical fruit and lemon zest, defines this truly great hop. Motueka brings a New World edge to a wide range of styles, from traditional Pilsners to lighter Lagers through to Ales. It is extremely versatile in brewing and has been a key hop used in Fresh Harvest lagers and pilsners since the early 2000’s. Developed by the New Zealand Institute for Bioeconomy Science Limited hop breeding program and released in 1996, Motueka™ is a seedless triploid hop with a genetic background derived from old-line European and North American ancestry.
