HORT3829 | Alpha Acids: 6-7%
A seedless triploid aroma type hop with fresh citrus, tropical, and herbal characters ideally suited for lager-type beers. Developed by the New Zealand Institute for Bioeconomy Science Limited hop breeding program and released in 2011, Kohatu is a descendant of Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, inheriting some European noble aroma characters. It works well in single-hop applications and in combinations in New World-style lagers and pilsners.
