NZ Southern Cross™ Brand - NZ Hops

A dual-purpose, soft-bittering hop with a lime, resin, woody, spicy and berry characters and notes of subtle pine. Developed by the New Zealand Institute for Bioeconomy Science Limited hop breeding program and released in 1994, NZ Southern Cross™ is a seedless triploid hop and has both North American and English ancestry. In many ways, it was a hop developed before its true time to shine, with its excellent essential oils and low cohumulone, delivering a delicate balance of citrus and spice characteristics when added at the end of the boil, but can punch a bit bolder when used as a dry hop. It works well with other hops, offering strong flavor and aroma synergy.
