Rakau™ Brand - MacHops

A true dual-purpose hop with fig lemongrass, pine, candy apple, resin, stone fruit and plum characters, with excellent bittering qualities. Re-released in 2007 from the New Zealand hop breeding program, Rakau™ is a seedless triploid hop, often described as “the whole orchard,” with dominant apricot and stone-fruit traits. It is commonly used in New World-style beers, especially pale ales, where strong fruity characters and well-constructed bitterness are desired. Rakau™ performs best when used in combination with late additions and dry hopping.
